BeatBattle 3

Your mission

You have two weeks to produce the best track you can using ONLY the sample pack we provide.

The track has to correspond to the theme : Party music.
Please read the rules, then download the sample pack [4 mb]

The winner will take home a licensed copy of Renoise !

Theme

Party music. By this we mean any music one can party to (house, jungle, hiphop, etc.. )

Rules

  1. You may use ONLY samples from the sample pack.
  2. You may only use Renoise (the latest version available from renoise.com to produce the track. This includes sample editing (so no cool edit or wavelab etc..)
  3. Exceptionally, you ARE allowed to convert the samples from stereo to mono using any external editor.
  4. No external VST's or VSTi's are allowed but you can use all Renoise's internal DSP effects.
  5. As this is an open source battle, no mp3 submissions are allowed. Only RNS files will be accepted

Filesize

Your RNS file must not exceed 800kb when zipped.

Voting

We have a brand new php based voting system which will make things a lot easier and more objective! The participant will attribute points to the tracks and will also have the possibility to comment on each entry.

When the compo deadline is reached, each participant must mail his entry to celsius@renoise.com
