Renoise License Agreement
"Renoise" authors - in following text THE AUTHORS, hereby grant you non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software "Renoise" (which includes entire content of original "Renoise" distribution archive - program binaries, documentation, Read Me's, included songs and all other files in the distribution archive and also includes "Renoise" upgrades/updates) - in following text THE SOFTWARE.
For evaluation version the license is granted.
For registered version you have to pay license fee in order to use THE SOFTWARE, by following instructions prompted by program:
For evaluation version permission is granted to use THE SOFTWARE and to redistribute it freely provided that THE SOFTWARE remains unmodified which includes complete original distribution package contents and the package itself (original unmodified archive, software binaries, any included documentation, Read Me's, help files, included songs and any other files contained in original package), all proprietary notices are left intact and origin of THE SOFTWARE and/or THE AUTHORS are not misrepresented.
For evaluation version you are not allowed to modify original package format and any of its contents, which includes but is not limited to modifications, reverse engineering, decompilation or disassembling. You are not allowed to create derivative works based on THE SOFTWARE, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer rights to THE SOFTWARE and remove any proprietary notices or labels on THE SOFTWARE or misrepresent THE SOFTWARE origin as well as THE AUTHORS.
For registered version permission is granted to use THE SOFTWARE on any single computer, use THE SOFTWARE on second computer as long as you remain the only user of each copy, to copy THE SOFTWARE for backup purposes only provided that each copy contains all of THE SOFTWARE original contents which includes but is not limited to original, unmodified distribution package and its contents with all proprietary notices included.
For registered version you are not allowed to permit other individuals to use THE SOFTWARE, modify it in any way, which includes but is not limited to modifying original archive format and any of its contents using techniques like reverse engineering, decompilation or disassembling. You are not allowed to create derivative works based on THE SOFTWARE, copy THE SOFTWARE (except as specified above), sell, rent, lease or in any other way transfer rights to THE SOFTWARE to anyone. You are not allowed to remove any proprietary notices or labels on THE SOFTWARE or misrepresent THE SOFTWARE origin as well as THE AUTHORS.
For evaluation and registered version of THE SOFTWARE you are not allowed to sell THE SOFTWARE or make any profit of it and you are not allowed to sell included songs or make any profit of it either in original form (i.e. in original song/module format) either in derivative form including but not limited to audio CDs, vinyl's, audiotapes, MP3 format or any other audio format or any other audio media.
Your own creations
You are allowed to publish and claim ownership to your own creations (i.e. songs) you created using evaluation or registered version of THE SOFTWARE. However, any profit from such creations in any form (i.e. original song format or derivative format - audio CDs, vinyl's, audiotapes, MP3 or similar) either by you, either by third party (i.e. record company) is strictly prohibited unless you own a license of THE SOFTWARE registered with THE AUTHORS.
You are allowed to publish only creations that are entirely your own work and not derivation from THE SOFTWARE material (i.e. demo songs). If all these terms are met you are not obliged to pay any royalties to THE AUTHORS. THE AUTHORS reserve the right to use the information about your published works as promotion material for THE SOFTWARE. You are not obliged to notify (*) THE AUTHORS about publishing your own works providing the conditions above are met.
(*) Your own promotion on THE SOFTWARE web site may be in your and THE AUTHORS interest, therefore notifying THE AUTHORS is suggested, though, not required.
Termination
This license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of the limitations described above. On termination you must destroy all copies of THE SOFTWARE and its documentation. THE AUTHORS reserve the right to terminate your license without notice, if they conclude that you are not fulfilling your obligations or abuse any part of this license agreement. Additionally THE AUTHORS reserve the right to change in part or full this license agreement if they conclude it does not fulfill expectations regarding legal protection of THE SOFTWARE. In this case later license agreement completely supersedes this one.
ANY PERSON BREAKING TERMS AND/OR CONDITIONS IN THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT (EITHER ACCIDENTALLY OR INTENSIONALLY) WILL BE HELD LIABLE FOR DOING SUCH ILLEGAL ACTIONS AND WILL BE SUED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PROVIDED BY THE APPLICABLE LAW.
Disclaimer of warranty
THE SOFTWARE is provided on 'AS-IS' basis, without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The entire risk of usage of THE SOFTWARE is on you. Should THE SOFTWARE prove defective, you and not THE AUTHORS assume the entire cost of any service or repair.
THE AUTHORS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY CHARACTER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF GODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES.
Title, ownership rights, intellectual property rights and author rights in THE SOFTWARE shall remain with THE AUTHORS. International copyright treaties protect THE SOFTWARE.
By continuing installation and usage of THE SOFTWARE you automatically accept this license agreement terms and conditions. If you don't accept any of these terms you must quit installation and destroy all copies of THE SOFTWARE.

Renoise Authors ("THE AUTHORS") recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of the Renoise web site, registrants for the products, recipients of the e-mail notifications or newsletters and all of the customers.
