Beta 5 contains 1 critical fix:

  1. Renoise 1.5 .rns files may fail to load in beta 4

Changes in Beta 5

  • Fixes labeled [fixed_b5]
  • Saving songs should be as fast as before, especially on MacOS X with lots of small samples
  • Added option to render songs at 88.2 kHz
  • Adding new samples to a drumkit instrument will now automatically update the basenotes and sample splits in the Instrument Editor

  • Fixes labeled [fixed_b4]
  • Added field in CachedVSTs.xml to disable multi-processor support for buggy VSTs - tell us which ones are causing trouble
  • Changed pattern synced line-in recording behavior to start on song playback instead of pressing the record button
  • Improved MIDI timing with ASIO buffer sizes smaller than 4ms
  • Preferences > Audio now shows buffer size and latency for the selected ASIO driver
  • Added an offset setting for the new Pattern Sequencer highlight option
  • Added 64th and 128th snapping modes to the Sample Editor
  • Added support for Audio Device hot-plugging on MacOS X
