when i try to play video in reaper, having speed=16 and bpm=128 in renoise, video just doesn't starts. if i set speed to a lower value, 4, for example - everything works. how to deal with this? any good ideas?

Recording position for long audio takes may work for Renoise to synchronise, but it will probably not be easy for you to time your actions.
Delay is always a culprit in these matters.
But i have not tried this option myself yet, so you can give it a shot.
Best is probably to make Renoise a slave in those cases.

I like the Reaper setup, that will work well for my music

Does it also synchronise position for recording long audio takes into Reaper?

Contrary to EnergyXT, EnergyXT2 always causes my long samples to glitch. So unfortunately, I cannot really recommend EnergyXT2.
