Payment Methods

To purchase your Renoise license there are several methods, all of which have benefits and downsides. The transaction is taken care of by SWREG, a 3rd party e-commerce reseller. For some payment methods you have to pay for the transaction (eg. to the bank). Depending on the payment method, SWREG may add an additional fee.

Recommendations

We recommend paying by PayPal, Check, Bank Wire or International Money Orders. If those methods are not available to you, try to pay with a Credit Card. If you do not possess a Credit Card yourself, you can ask someone who has one to order Renoise for you. Make sure he registers Renoise on your name.

Receiving the goods

After the transaction is finished and verified, you will be registered with us. You will receive an e-mail containing product details and another one with your Renoise Backstage password. Please remember that some methods generally take longer to process. Paying by check is the slowest method, taking a few days. On the other hand, ordering with credit card is the quickest method, usually completed within a day.

Credit Card

You make a payment using your (or your friends) Credit Card number. This is processed instantly, and usually is the fastest method for paying online. We receive much VISA payments, because VISA credit cards are known for very low fraud rate and low processing fees, therefore we recommend it. When you make Credit Card transaction online, your bank account is charged for that amount and you don't have to care about anything and only wait for your registration to arrive.

SWREG's additional fee:

  • CREDIT CARD online (immediate delivery, no processing fee)
  • CREDIT CARD by FAX (+ EUR 3.00 manual processing fee)
  • CREDIT CARD by PHONE (+ EUR 3.00 manual processing fee)

Paypal

PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account. The payment is sent from one PayPal account into another. The recipient won't receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number.

After you have signed up for a PayPal account you enter the email address of the person to whom you are sending the payment, as well as the amount of the payment.

For further info, please visit PayPal.

SWREG's additional fee:

  • PAYPAL (+ EUR 3.50 manual processing fee, takes 2-4 days)

Check / Cheque

Check is sent by post and it has your name on it and recipients name. The recipient is the only person that is able to cash the check. If there is a loss of letter with check it is not big deal because nobody can cash it except recipient.

To order by check you have to register and select payment by check. You also need your own bank account where this check will be cashed on. On invoice you should have the details of the recipient which you should make check payable to (with all the required details you need to write on check). Then, you write a check, sign it with your signature and send it to destination address. For more information about writing checks and how to process them properly you should call your bank and ask them how to make this kind of payment. Also note that not all check types are accepted, please read list of accepted payments on register page.

Note that the check has further expense you have to add on the registration payment which is not present with the Credit Cards. Exact amount is printed on invoice after you fill in the order details (you are not charged before you see it).

SWREG's additional fee:

  • CHECK by US or UK checks or International Money Orders (+ EUR 3.00 manual processing fee)

Bank / Wire transfer

To make a bank/wire transfer you need to have your own bank account. When you make a purchase, on invoice will be information on bank account where you need to make payment to. You will receive invoice either by e-mail either it will be displayed in web browser, after you fill in your registration information. Then go to your bank, tell them you want to make payment to that specific account you got info about in your invoice and you are done. Your bank account is charged for that payment.

Note: There may be outgoing or incoming transmission fees that are charged by your or recipients bank. It depends on each bank so you should ask them for further info about it. For this reason you may have to increase amount of money that is sent (if receiving bank is charging fees), or it will be charged from your account (if your bank is charging outgoing fee). Please follow invoice instructions carefully in order to complete this process correctly!

Usually receiving bank charges no fees and outgoing bank charges some small amount as transmission fee. However, with checks you can avoid such fees or at least make them lower so ask your bank about it.

Note that the wire transfer has further expense you have to add on the registration payment which is not present with the Credit Cards. Exact amount is printed on invoice after you fill in the order details (you are not charged before you see it).

SWREG's additional fee:

  • WIRE TRANSFER (+ EUR 20.00 manual processing fee)

Cash

We do not currently support cash. Sending cash in mail is very insecure and unreliable method. If the letter is lost in delivery process (not likely, but can happen) we don't receive the payment, you don't receive your registration and everyone is unhappy.
