I don’t know what project I have loaded. How can I tell what project is loaded when it is loaded?

MIDI Effects Commands in Phrases?
Hello,
I’m trying to command my external MIDI synth (Korg Electribe 2) directly from within my phrases with no results. Is this even possible? Would be nice if there were a kind of ‘debug’ for the effects commands to know if something isn’t properly being used.
Any ideas?

Polyphony troubles
Greetings! ran into a problem. if I want to create a synthesizer with limited polyphony from meta-devices. unfortunately it is part of the music that cannot work in parallel. Maybe someone knows how to solve this problem?

Why in many cases Renoise dont show VST3 Preset name in Gui?
Hello together!
It’s often the same thing. VST2 Version of plugin works fine. VST3 Version dont shows correct Preset names in Renoise Gui or dont show the real patch/preset name. It mostly show “-Init-” or “Param00” or somthing senseless.
Anybody can give me an answer to this?

Two Midi Keybords
I’m looking into getting a Midi keyboard; i was wondering if it’s possible to connect two small Midi keyboards and have them staggered on octaves and be able to play both of them at the same time? Else I’ll just get one big one to cover more keys.

PreSonus VST3 problem
I get today my second PreSonus plugin. Their plugins are VST3 and works in strange way - there is some kind of wrapper or whatever that shows as single plugin, then there is their main program that handle their plugins.
Anyway, when I was using only one plugin, everything was fine. After I activated second one - I see only first one on the list, but is not working (crashing Renoise). When I uninstall old plugin, I see new plugin (working) under old name in Renoise. I can use any of plugins, but not both when they’re activated at the same time.

Free breakbeats (yes, I played them myself)
Drums played by EatMe recorded with 2 overhead microphones and a Minidisc recorder in a local musician space rental.
Total 2 hour recording captured to .wav on computer and burned to 2x CD-R.
Cut to beat loops. Everything is lost. I will download this breakbeat.

Viewbuilder question: Is it possible to return (print) the entire tree of the view from a window tool?
Does anyone know if there is any way to somehow print or return in text format the entire tree of a window tool’s view?
This could be useful if we break the general tree into small functions to load them later in the general tree.
A simple example. Imagine you have a tool with a general tree like this:
vb:row { vb:button { id="1", text="My Button 1" }, vb:button { id="2", text="My Button 2" } }How to print or get this to extract to a text file for example. That is, get the entire tree to be able to examine it, with all the properties of each object and all that.
Any ideas?

Recieve multiple MIDI channels for MPE vsts
Would love to see the ability for an instrument to receive MIDI on multiple channels. MIDI sends only a global pitch bend, and thus this is the workaround for some types of alternate tunings, or expressive instruments. There are free VSTs already set up for this such as Surge or Dexed as well as many top of the line ones such as Arturia Pigments.
As well would need to recognize the MPE standard pitch bend style messages which use another bit of MIDI data that is unused. (really I don’t know why the MPE guys didn’t just use this to send the note number rather than having to do this whole separate channel nonsense for their specifications, but someday 20 years in the future perhaps people will actually start using MIDI 2.0 and creating software that’s compatible and this will all be behind us. We can only hope!)

Stack any plugin, or provide better support for MIDI effects
I’m testing out the demo version and am trying to figure out how to handle MIDI effect plugins for things such as retuning, arpeggiators, etc. Other DAWs allow you to simply stack any plugin - midi effect, audio effect, or instrument in the order you like. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to do this in Renoise, and it may be a dealbreaker for me. If there’s something I’m missing, someone please help me out. This seems like it should be a pretty basic functionality.

JACK autoconnect on start - how to configure?
Hi!
On start Renoise connects system/playback_1 and system/playback_2 inputs. I’d want 3 and 4 ones. Is it possible to configure? (or, at least, to disable). Now on every start I go to Catia to remove unneeded connections and to add needed ones.

Audio out and back in
Hey there, first post, total noob so forgive me if this is dumb but…
I have an old Mackie mixer, and I want to run a 909 kick sample from renoise, through it, and then back into renoise to resample it with the added warmth/gain/eq from the mixer.
I have absolutely no idea how to make this happen, but I’m positive it’s… a thing… Any ideas?

Renoise does not allocate a new cpu for several instances of a vsti plugin - instead stops
The plugin is “DSP56300” - Access Virus C in vst emu form.
I am running this on a Ryzen 7 3700x, with 8 cores, 16 threads.
If i run more than two instances of the plugin it starts crackling and popping and eventually shuts down renoise, because, it maxes out a single core on my multi core setup. =/
Why this behaviour? Isn’t Renoise supposed to “see” that one cpu is about to burst with activity, and allocate a new cpu for the next instance of this vsti? I know it’s a new and experimental vst, but surely it’s up to the Daw to chose on what core to put it?
Or is there a way for me as a user to chose cpu for a specific vsti?
This is very frustrating, as I can see that I have at least 2 cores that are not used at all =(

Mac OS Renoise starts playing whenver I press Option or Command
How do I stop Renoise from playing back when I press Command or Option keys?
I have looked through the “Transport” section of the key commands and only Spacebar and Shift +Spacebar are listed, but pressing Option or Command also starts playback.
Much annoy - can it be turned off?

+ Renoise DELAY + NEED FILTERS!
the Renoise Delay needs filters.
It sounds full of feedback noise that I do not have when I (would have) filtered the delay.
Both high and low pass needs to be applied to the wet signal to be of any use.
Or one notch filter with custom width instead, but I prefer two filters.
Up so far, Renoise internal Delay gives so much feedback noise.
