I have posted this public now, as well as a competition to my label site. Please spread this around, I think it will be very fun. Demo track included as .xrns.

Prizes

– Top 3 tracks will be included in free release with future downloads of the samplepack. This will include the project file.
– Artists choice of free release with CVR
– Possible opportunity for premium release with CVR

Rules

– You can only use the samples provided in the Samplepack.
– You are not limited to how much you cut them up, but you can not add fx in the process in any way. (All sounds used have to be unaltered from the original sample file, only sliced up however you want)
– You can use any internal DSP/FX in your DAW. (Envelope shaping will probably be useful)
– You can NOT use any VST/VSTi/AU etc.
– Keep your project file around just in case.

How to Submit?

1. You will need to create an account with us. This is to limit spam and make sure we can get in touch with you for purposes of this competition.
2. Upload your track (MP3) somewhere we can download it from
3. Hit the Contact Us form, make sure the subject is relevant to this submission (ie. “Competition entry”)
4. Make sure to include the link to the mp3 in the message.

Judging

Judging will be done by select artists already working with CVR.

Does this mean that tracks using even just a snare, just a hihat, just a tambourine must now be burnt on a pile of ‘illegal songs’?

Or that all breakbeat samples must now have too much flanger on them or something so that they are ‘unrecognizable’…when does a single hit snare sound become unrecognizable…this shit is annoying.

Personally I think Kraftwerk really sucks anyway…

later on they will complain that synthesized sounds are ‘too powerful’ and cause violence or some bullshit like that…first, make samples illegal…after that any song using drum machines will be ‘gangster’ or ‘drug related’.

Should we make classical music like ‘Wagner’ illegal? As it is known that he supported Hitler?
That hitler stuff is pretty gangster if you ask me…maybe should make Wagner illegal?

Could anyone help me troubleshoot this? I’d usually attribute such lag to my laptop’s retina screen but as I have used Renoise before on this machine I know that it has worked just fine.

Any ideas on what this may be? Many thanks!

The latter works as expected. But a single click will only select a single cell without moving the edit cursor there.

I found a preferences option that says “Single click to set cursor in edit mode”. That makes the edit cursor move into the column that I have clicked, but not in the right line.

Is there an option to simply single-click a cell and move the edit cursor to it?
