Midi Hardware Sampler Helper

Automatically create a fully usable instrument from samples from hardware connected via line in and MIDI. Automatically plays, records, processes, and maps samples.

Midi Convert w/ extended export

Extended version of conner_bw's original midi convert tool, including danoise's additions from 2017. It extends the export of the tool, including pitchbend, aftertouch, vsti parameter and midi cc automation, which makes it very handy to convert your song to common pianoroller daws.

xRules

xRules is a OSC+MIDI rewriting utility for Renoise. It allows to transform, route and otherwise change incoming messages as they arrive. Although a very powerful tool, xRules has been designed with efficiency and ease of use in mind.

xRules support a wide variety of MIDI messages, including ones not recognized by Renoise itself. For example, you can receive 14-bit MIDI via multibyte CC messages, Pitch Bend or NRPN.

Noodletrap

Noodletrap is a tool that allows easy and precise recording of PC/MIDI keyboards without having to "make room" for a recording - recordings are instead stored within the instrument itself, using instrument phrases.

Documentation

Information about the tool is located on github

Midi Zoom Select

Gives the possibility to position left/right zoom, selection, and loop markers with midi control. Selection and Loop are computed relative to the current zoom.

Guru

Guru is a Renoise tool for editing sounds on external hardware synths via MIDI. It provides a generic user interface for editing the parameters of the synth, and let's you store them as patches, that can be restored later on.

Guru also saves the patches with the song, so when you re-open a song synths and the patches you were working with when you saved it are restored.

All the parameters are MIDI assignable, so you can use it to map any MIDI controller to the synth.

Midi Management Console

What is the Midi management console about?
The midi management console offers a birds-eye view to your midi attachments to your instruments as well as it makes it easier to chain instruments to one midi device (instrument layering) and allowing to edit multilayered recordings without the hassle of having to manually edit a multiple of the same note to have it deleted or added in each track each chained instrument was recorded in.

JX Programmer

Note! This tools has been replaced by the tool Guru, which allows for editing many other synths as well, See the Guru page

JX Programmer is a Renoise tool for editing sounds on the Roland JX-8P, MKS-70, and JX-10 (Super JX) synthesizers via sysex, similar to the original PG-800 hardware programmer from Roland.

It has got a user interface for editing all the parameters of a tone in the synths, and a switch to select which one of the two tones on the JX-10/MKS-70 to edit.

Set Current Line Number By Midi Message

Finally, allows to bind midi messages to skip to a certain line. Supports any pattern length. You can now use your MIDI controllers knobs to DJ the sh** out of your evil saw sounds, beats, etc.

Grid Pie

Renoise cut and pastry. Live sequence recombination.

Grid Pie is a performance interface. It lets the user combine different parts of a linear song, non-linearly, in real time, using a special looping pattern as a live drafting area. It does so by taking over the Pattern Matrix.

Video demo: here.

GridPie is also available as an application in Duplex Beta. This stand alone version will eventually be deprecated in favour of the Duplex app.
